Behind the stage hangs a large orange banner headed by Hindi text reading Makar Sankranti ke shubh avsar par and Khichdi Milan Samaroh 2014, showing three large portraits: a bearded man with a red mala, a turbaned white-bearded elder in orange, and an older white-haired man. Seated on the stage are several sannyasis in saffron and orange robes and white clothing, some wearing orange turbans, one holding a microphone, and an orange-robed figure with a long white beard at centre. Flower arrangements sit before them, and a speaker box is at the left. Several portraits on the banner are printed images, not physical people.
