A large outdoor gathering seated on tiered red-brick steps beside a rectangular reflecting pool. Many devotees sit in rows, most in white ritual clothing, with some in saffron, orange, green and pink saris and kurtas. On the left, a dark stone deity murti sits on a raised platform draped with garlands and flower decorations. A cameraman in white stands on the lower steps beside a tripod, and a tall speaker stand rises at the left edge. Metal railings and a small loudspeaker box are visible, with trees and a hillside behind the red boundary wall.

Hundreds of devotees in white clothes sit on tiered red stone steps and sit in front of an open area. In the foreground a woman with a long braid wears a white sari with an orange shawl and white flower in her hair, seated with her back to the camera facing the lingam, and several people have hands folded in anjali. A cameraman stands near the lingam. Red-brick buildings and a wall stand behind. Orange-robed figures sit on a raised platform at the upper left. This appears to be a Pratyaksha Pada Puja event, with the ritual centred on the lingam in the water and devotees seated in white for darshan.2016-03-07March 07 20162016-03-07 +1 copiesOctober 10 20162016-10-10 +1 copiesMay 29 20172017-05-29March 07 20162016-03-07A large outdoor photograph of a stepped stone tank with a still green-grey water surface, where a decorated floating ceremonial structure with a Shiva linga-like form and golden-orange garlands sits in the middle. Two men in plain white ritual clothing stand on the steps near a black stone Nandi-style figure, with a shorter figure in white beside them. In the foreground, many devotees in white saris and white shirts sit on the stone steps with hands folded in anjali, and one woman with hands raised in namaskar. Rows of seated devotees in white fill the tiered stone seating on both sides of the tank, with some in orange-saffron wraps. Red brick buildings and a pale wall are behind. Spectators fill the ghats, consistent with a Mahashivaratri puja at an ashram tank, and no clearly identifiable a person is visible.2016-03-07
