A large indoor hall during an evening fire ritual, with many seated devotees in rows on the floor facing small square fire pits. Each pit has a small flame, brass vessels, bundled sticks and yellow flower petals. Many participants wear white dhotis and kurtas or white saris, with some women in red-bordered and green-and-pink saris. A blue banner with Kannada script hangs above a wall with windows. At the far right, a man in white sits on a raised platform near a microphone stand, and a white-clad man sits at the edge of the platform. Above the pits, a few people with white clothes and shaved heads sit near the centre front. The room has a worn concrete floor with white chalk kolam designs. Homa/yagna is the visible ritual.
