December 26 20062006-12-26A dim indoor hall with a homa in progress: rows of devotees sit on mats before several small square fire pits built from white bricks, each with a burning flame, brass vessels, and yellow flowers scattered around. In the foreground a bare-chested man in white dhoti and shawl sits at the front, while a woman in a white sari sits beside him, both facing the fire. Many more participants fill the background, some in green, pink and orange saris. At the far right edge, a man in white clothing sits near the wall, apparently overseeing the ritual, with no distinctive visible cues to identify him.2007-09-30December 26 20082008-12-26 +1 copiesSeptember 30 20072007-09-30September 30 20072007-09-30Outdoor ritual gathering under a corrugated metal roof, with many seated devotees in white clothing wearing garlands of white jasmine and red flowers. Devotees sit on the ground in rows with brass plates, oil lamps and offerings in front of them, some holding small items in their hands while performing a puja or similar ritual. A few women wear pink, yellow and red saris, and the sky and trees are visible through the open sides of the pavilion.2006-12-26July 23 20112011-07-23A seated group of devotees performs a puja inside a hall with a mat-covered floor. In the foreground, a shaved-headed man in an orange-saffron dhoti and rudraksha mala sits with hands joined, beside a man in white dhoti with gold border and tilak who offers from a brass plate near small oil lamps and kumkum-marked dishes. At the right, a man in white with forehead markings holds a brass plate of offerings. Rows of men and women in white and light clothing sit behind them, some with folded hands. A red-covered book and small brass lamps sit on the floor. No person clearly matches the appearance cues for a person.2012-05-31 +1 copiesA large hall filled with seated devotees during a fire ritual, with smoke hanging in the air and small oil lamps burning on mats along the floor.
