A priest in orange-saffron dhoti and shawl, with a bare torso and rudraksha mala, stands at left pouring or lifting a vessel over a golden deity setup. Three deity murtis sit on a golden ratha-style vahana or throne with red cloth draped over its base: a central figure in a crown with a green and gold garment, flanked by two figures in red and gold-trimmed garments with floral garlands. Hanging bells, gold pillars, and tassels in red, green, yellow and purple decorate the temple hall. A small metal pot and a seated attendant appear at lower right. The scene suggests abhishekam or puja in a temple shrine.2020-04-27April 27 20202020-04-27April 30 20202020-04-30April 25 20202020-04-25April 30 20202020-04-30May 07 20172017-05-07 +1 copiesA priest in white dhoti and shawl with gold borders, bare-chested, pours liquid from a brass vessel over the head of a golden standing statue beside a seated deity murti. The seated deity wears a red and gold sari, a tall ornate crown, a garland of yellow and pink flowers, and holds a trident-like staff. The golden statue, with raised hand and dhoti, stands before a gold-framed niche draped in red cloth, indicating a temple abhishekam being performed. No physical people other than the priest are present.2012-04-07November 19 20092009-11-19Inside a temple shrine decorated with gold-toned carved pillars and garlands of red, yellow and white flowers. Three deity murtis stand on a raised altar with marigold garlands draped over them. In front, a shirtless man in a red-orange dhoti and shawl stands with his hands at the altar, facing the deities. Beside him, a man in a saffron-orange robe stands with his back to the camera. A third man in a white shirt is partly visible at the lower left corner. To the right stands an ornate gold chair with a magenta cushion, and a potted plant and dark cloth hang nearby. Two people are physically present, plus one partially visible person.2019-07-16A photograph inside a richly decorated temple shrine. A bare-chested priest in orange cloth with a saffron shawl and a headband stands at the centre, his hand resting on a golden arch over a lingam with a white tripundra marking. Behind him, gilded deity murtis with crowns and jewelled necklaces stand under ornate mirror-work arches. Flanking figures wear red turbans, pink and maroon garments and heavy jewelled necklaces. The figures are statues, not living people, and the priest is a devotee performing abhishekam or puja at the sanctum.2020-11-24A photograph of a golden deity murti of a divine couple seated on a golden throne within an ornate shrine. The murti wears a red turban-style crown, jewelled ornaments and a garland of orange and red flowers, and stands before a red drape framed by carved golden arch. In front of the throne is a printed portrait of a man in saffron robes wearing a white beaded necklace, decorated with a garland. On the left, a man in white ritual cloth raises a lamp toward the murti. Brass oil lamps stand on both sides of the shrine.2010-10-04 +1 copiesDecember 29 20182018-12-29
