April 12 20132013-04-12A framed photograph on a silver-covered altar shows a close-up of a man's eyes and forehead with a red bindi-like mark between the brows. The altar is decorated with red and pink flowers, brass oil lamps with lit flames, a brass kalasha-style vessel, a small brass dish with a silver ornament, and a string of dark rudraksha beads on the right. The framed image is a portrait, not a physical person. A blurred orange fabric edge sits in the lower foreground. Offerings like these are typical of puja or padapuja.2013-05-02July 12 20132013-07-12A hand lights a small brass oil lamp on an orange cloth-covered altar. Beside it stands a framed photograph of a saffron-robed man with long hair, a red turban-like cloth, and a red-and-gold beaded mala around his neck, shown as a printed picture rather than a live person. Brass plates hold flowers, a brass vessel and a small brass lamp, with another flame burning nearby. The scene is a devotional puja setup. Only the hand of one person is visible.2013-07-12Photo 11731452July 14 20132013-07-14A photograph of a puja altar on a dark red velvet cloth on a white tiled floor. Brass plates hold yellow flower petals and leaves, and small brass bowls with kumkum and a conical brass vessel stand nearby. Three oil lamps burn with flames, and a lit incense stick rises at the right. A white conch shell sits in the centre. Behind the altar, a framed chromolithograph of a multi-armed deity murti and a small framed portrait of a seated, robed man rest against a plastic container, beside a rudraksha-style mala of white beads. No people are visible.2016-09-30 +1 copiesMarch 29 20132013-03-29November 14 20102010-11-14A close-up photograph of a ritual tabletop arrangement on a silver-embossed tray. A lit brass oil lamp (diya) with a flame sits at centre, flanked by brass cups, a small brass bowl with red liquid, a brass pot and a plate of flowers and leaves. To the right, a pink-framed printed photograph shows a woman in red garments and garlands, not a person candidate. No physical people are visible, so this is an altar setup for puja rather than a gathering.2013-04-12 +1 copiesA close-up photograph of a ritual table draped in a deep magenta velvet cloth.
