A close photograph of a ritual lamp being lit on a golden shivalinga-like base. A hand holding a polished silver oil lamp with a burning flame rests on a brass tray, the golden yoni-peetha-style base beside it with a small yellow flower placed at its foot. Turmeric-stained fingers and white cloth are visible at the lower left, and a large brass vessel stands at the right against a plain wall. The scene suggests an aarti or puja with a flame offering.
