A seated priest in saffron-orange robes and a white and blue flower garland pours water from a silver vessel over a golden stepped Maha Meru, a tiered ritual object representing the cosmos, placed on a gold tray over a white cloth. The priest wears gold bangles and a gold necklace, and the Maha Meru is being bathed in an abhishekam. A partially visible person in white stands at the right edge.2006-05-21Close-up ritual photograph of a gold-plated Sri Chakra meru (stepped yantra) on a brass tray, with a white conch shell being tilted so water pours over the top. Brass oil lamps with lit flames, a small brass kalasha and a brass dish sit on a dark granite surface. A hand holds the conch at right, and a sheet of printed text lies at left. Pink, yellow and white flowers decorate the tray in front, and a corner of a purple and orange silk sari is visible at top. No people's faces are visible.2010-10-17May 21 20062006-05-21May 21 20062006-05-21June 26 20122012-06-26October 05 20112011-10-05October 05 20112011-10-05May 08 20122012-05-08June 22 20132013-06-22 +1 copiesOctober 05 20112011-10-05September 19 20112011-09-19A photograph of a bald, bare-shouldered man in white ritual cloth seated on the floor, pouring from a small silver cup over a golden shivalinga-style sculpture or yantra on a gold tray with white powder scattered on it. A rudraksha mala hangs at his neck and he wears silver bracelets. Behind him stand a dark cabinet on the right and fruit and offerings on a shelf at the top. The man is shown from behind and the figure is a physical person, appearance-based identification is uncertain, so the role is given as a priest performing abhishekam.2011-10-05
