December 17 20102010-12-17December 17 20102010-12-17A photograph of two shaved-headed men in white ritual dhotis seated on blue flooring before a wooden swing bed with carved headboard, draped white sheet, colourful cushions and a purple and green cloth. A brass kalasha-style vessel sits on a patterned cloth on the bed. The man on the left, with a rudraksha mala and a white forehead mark, holds a lit oil lamp to the bed while facing it. The man on the right wears a gold necklace and sits with his back to the camera beside a tray of ritual items. Two physical people are visible. No candidate is clearly identifiable from appearance, so the figures are described by role as priests performing an aarti-style lamp offering.2010-12-17December 17 20102010-12-17May 05 20122012-05-05May 13 20122012-05-13A photograph inside a temple shrine lit by a row of warm yellow bulbs along an arched niche. In the centre, a silver-and-gold shrine holds a deity murti draped with a large red flower garland, with a lit brass lamp (aarti) held forward. On the left, an elderly man with a shaved head, rudraksha mala, a gold chain and a saffron-orange dhoti and shawl with gold border stands with his hands extended toward the shrine. To the right, a bald man in white ritual dhoti and shawl with gold border holds the aarti lamp toward the deity, while another man in white clothing holds a brass vessel. Silver lamp stands and offering vessels with flowers sit at the base of the shrine.2012-05-12May 13 20122012-05-13 +1 copiesMay 12 20122012-05-12May 14 20122012-05-14 +1 copiesMay 13 20122012-05-13November 09 20112011-11-09
