A large banyan tree with many hanging aerial roots and thick spreading branches stands over a dirt courtyard enclosed by low white concrete borders. In the foreground a woman in a white sari with a gold border raises a small white vessel above her head. Behind her, a woman in a pink sari and a woman in a green blouse with a white-and-gold sari stand near the tree, one raising a container, and a figure in orange robes is visible further back at the base of the tree. Black hoses lie across the ground to the left. The scene suggests a ritual pouring or offering at the banyan tree.
