Outdoor festival procession scene under a canopy of strings of orange triangular pennants. Centre: a decorated palanquin-style vehicle draped in pink cloth and garlanded with marigolds, carrying a deity murti adorned with orange-and-gold crown and rich garlands. In front, a large framed photograph garlanded with yellow and white flowers shows a long-haired figure in orange robes with raised hand, a portrait not a physical person. A saffron-robed young man with shaved head and beaded necklace sits cross-legged at left beside a ceremonial elephant draped in cloth, holding a cup. A bald man in white clothes sits at lower right among devotees, and several onlookers stand or sit in the crowd. Overhead, a large red and multicolour fringed parasol shades the scene.
