A procession at an outdoor Brahmotsava. A standing man in saffron-orange robes with a maroon-bordered shawl holds a brass bell and a small silver vessel, performing an arati-like offering toward a deity murti on a decorated palanquin. The murti wears a saffron turban, gold ornaments, a blue-and-green silk skirt and a white shawl, and is garlanded with yellow and purple flowers. Above is a fringed canopy with a framed portrait of a saffron-clad figure seated with rudraksha beads. Onlookers in white garments stand behind, some with hands joined. Green trees and a blue sky form the backdrop.2008-12-23November 15 20132013-11-15Outdoor festival scene during a ratha or palanquin ritual. A man in orange saffron robes with dark curly hair stands at left, reaching toward a decorated shrine-like palanquin draped with multicolour fringed canopy and garlands of yellow, pink, red and green flowers. Inside sits a deity murti with a crown and white garment, decorated with marigold garlands, and a framed photograph of a saffron-clad figure is set behind it. Oil lamps and a brass vessel stand in front. Spectators in white and colourful clothes watch at right and left, and a thatched hut and trees stand in the background under a clear blue sky.2008-12-23A street procession on a paved road beside a blue fence and tree shade. A decorated cart carries a framed portrait of a saffron-robed figure with long dark hair and a rudraksha mala, set among marigold and rose garlands, and beside it a deity murti in white and silver adornment under a floral arch with a trident-like staff.
