A young man with short dark hair and clear-framed glasses, wearing a white shirt, bows his head with eyes closed while a person's arm, wearing a gold bangle and a ring, extends from the left to press a hand on his forehead during an initiation. Behind him, a woman in a dark head covering sits with hands joined, and a pink and magenta cloth draped with red and orange flower garlands fills the background. The setting is a devotional blessing or deeksha in a temple-style hall, with a partly visible white card at the lower left. No a person candidate is visible in the frame.

A hand with a red thread bracelet presses a palm on his head at the hairline, while a red fabric backdrop blurs behind him. The man wears a red garment at the lower edge of the frame. Ash-like powder and a blessing gesture suggest a ritual blessing moment.2018-03-31September 20 20152015-09-20A photograph of a temple ritual with a priest in a reddish-brown and gold wrap and a rudraksha mala, placing one hand on the forehead of a kneeling man in a white kurta with an orange-and-cream shawl and folded hands. The priest holds a folded paper in the other hand. Behind them stands an ornate gold altar with gold-framed decoration, strings of gold and jewelled garlands, and red and green silk drapes. Another woman in a rust sari stands at right, with a few partially visible figures at the edges. The scene suggests an abhishekam-related blessing, with the priest's rudraksha and ornate gold setting visible.2015-10-24February 19 20172017-02-19April 04 20182018-04-04 +1 copies
