A large indoor group of women and some men sit cross-legged on the floor in a pink-walled hall, many holding small lit oil lamps (diyas) in their hands during a ritual. Most wear saffron-orange and rust-coloured saris or dhotis with rudraksha malas and gold necklaces, while a few in white saris sit among them. Small brass plates with offerings and flower garlands rest on low trays before them, and red curtains hang at the windows. Some participants have marked foreheads and white vibhuti lines. No single figure is clearly identifiable as the a person, so no candidate is named.
