A photograph at night of a large straw or effigy figure burning fiercely on the ground, with tall orange flames rising around it. A wooden pole crosses the figure at shoulder height, and a round metal disc is fixed at its centre. On the right stands a person in a white dhoti and white upper cloth, watching the fire. In the dim background a second person wears a red garment beside a lit lamp and ceremonial objects. The scene suggests an outdoor ritual burning.
