A man in a white and beige checked short-sleeved shirt and dark trousers sits cross-legged, holding a brass bowl and pouring an offering toward the fire. A priest in white dhoti and shirt, with glasses and a red forehead mark, sits cross-legged on the left reading from an open book. A man in a dark navy kurta and white dhoti sits on the right facing the shrine. Behind them stands a framed portrait of a smiling man with long hair in a saffron robe and white beaded necklace, flanked by white and red flower garlands, raising one hand. Below it are small deity murtis in ornate gold frames, dressed in yellow, red, green and blue cloth, with pink flowers, banana plants and brass vessels around them. A clay fire pit with white patterned markings sits in the foreground beside a brass ladle and a bowl of yellow offerings.2009-05-28
