August 01 20072007-08-01August 01 20072007-08-01A photograph of a group walking across a dusty open ground in front of a red-walled building with a curved green metal roof, small finials and a red flag on top. Palm trees and a concrete wall stand behind them under an overcast sky. In the foreground a man in an orange robe and orange shawl carries a walking stick and a dark bag. Beside him, a woman in a maroon sari and a woman in a yellow-and-white outfit follow, with a man in white and dark trousers behind them. To the right, several women in white saris with yellow borders and a man in white walk in a line. Two people in saffron-orange robes walk near the left side of the group. The scene is a visual record of an ashram walk.2007-12-20October 27 20082008-10-27Outdoor photo on a dry, dusty open ground with trees, palms and a white multi-storey building behind. A group of men walks across the field: four in white dhotis and shirts with orange shawls, and one taller figure in the centre wearing an orange robe, an orange turban and a rudraksha mala, with long hair falling past the shoulders. Behind them are draped tents with red and white curtains and a small banner.2007-12-12Outdoor photograph at an ashram compound with a long white building under a green corrugated roof and red-framed open porch canopy, with palm trees behind. A central figure with long dark hair wears a white dhoti and white shawl, arm extended forward, apparently directing a crowd on bare dirt scattered with paper debris. Around him, devotees in white dhotis and saris stand in lines, some in orange shawls, one orange-clad man near the left holding a small object. Children and adults gather in the middle distance. Appearance cues of long hair and a white robe with an orange shawl on a nearby figure are noted, but the central figure's identity is uncertain from appearance alone.2008-10-27Outdoor scene on a dusty dirt courtyard beside a white single-storey building with a corrugated roof and red-painted decorative trim. A tall ceremonial umbrella with a multicoloured canopy in red, green, blue and yellow and tasselled fringe is carried on a pole by a young man in a white dhoti with a yellow shawl. Walking beneath it is a man in saffron-orange robes with a flowing beard. Beside him, a younger man in a saffron-orange dhoti and wrap walks barefoot. Around them, men in white dhotis and white shirts walk along, one holding a small object and another holding a phone or device. Palm trees and green shrubs stand behind a low hill.2009-08-08Outdoors on a dusty, sparsely grassed ground at sunset, a group walks across an open yard toward a long white-and-terracotta building with a green metal roof. At the centre, a long-haired figure in a saffron-orange garment and a white-and-red flower garland walks barefoot; beside them, a shaved-headed sannyasi in orange robes with rudraksha beads walks on the left, and another bald man in saffron robes walks on the right. Around them, men in white dhotis and shirts and white-clad sannyasis or devotees walk in a procession, with a bearded man in an orange shawl among them. Trees and a water tank stand behind the building under a pale sky.2011-09-08A group walks across a dusty open ground toward a low white and orange building under a pale sky, with trees behind. In the centre, a figure in saffron-orange robes wears a long white and red flower garland and walks barefoot beside a second saffron-robed figure. Several bald men in white dhotis with red borders walk around them, and a bare-chested man in orange carries a rudraksha mala. Three older men in white shirts and dhotis walk at the left, along with a man in a checked shirt and dark trousers. The scene looks like a procession or walk between buildings at the ashram.2011-09-08October 27 20082008-10-27October 27 20082008-10-27A photograph of a courtyard outside a white building with green corrugated roofs and a red-framed open walkway, with palm trees behind. Many people in white traditional clothing, some with orange shawls or sashes, stand and walk across a dirt ground in an orderly gathering. A woman in an orange saree walks near the centre, and a person in white with an orange wrap walks in the foreground. A figure in white stands on the roof at the top left.2008-10-27
