A multicoloured umbrella canopy is carried above the group. Robed sannyasis in saffron and orange lead the procession, several with shaved heads or long beards. Devotees in white and pastel kurtas and saris walk along, many with hands folded in namaskar. Garlanded portraits or murtis are visible at the back in the distance.2009-01-02December 30 20092009-12-30December 27 20072007-12-27A photograph of a group walking along a dirt road toward a sign reading "WAY TO TEMPLE" on a black board, beside a grey block wall, green gate and palm trees. Several sadhus in saffron and orange robes walk barefoot, some with rudraksha malas and one with a red turban. Older bare-chested men wear white dhotis with orange shawls and beaded necklaces, and white-clad volunteers with lanyards walk alongside, one holding hands with a sadhu. A man in a saffron wrap carries a dark bag. Mid-day sunlight casts long shadows across the road.2009-12-30A photograph of a group walking along a dirt path through a green ashram grounds on an overcast day. In the centre, a long-haired man in a saffron orange robe and sandals walks forward holding a white rod, with a second person in saffron beside him. Behind them are men in white dhotis and white shirts with orange shawls, and a woman in an orange sari. On the right, an older man in white clothes and an orange shawl walks while holding a mobile phone to his ear. Green shrubs, trees, a green metal gate and a utility pole line the path.2006-09-21A photo of a group of devotees gathered on a paved courtyard in front of a temple compound with yellow Tamil-language signboards along a low wall and palm and shade trees behind. A man in an orange-saffron dhoti and shawl stands centre with grey hair and a white beard, facing right, flanked by devotees in white dhotis and kurtas with orange shawls draped over their shoulders. A young boy in white shirt and shorts and a woman in a white sari with a red-orange border stand at right, and a man carries a black bag at left. Several others stand in a loose line near the signs.2008-08-03December 30 20092009-12-30Outdoor photograph of a group walking along a narrow concrete path past a red-walled building with an open doorway. A central figure with long, swept-back dark hair wears an orange robe and stands at the front of the group, appearing to be a person with long hair and saffron clothing; the identification is uncertain from appearance alone. Around him are devotees and sannyasis in white dhotis and white kurtas, several wearing orange shawls over white, and a woman in white on the left carrying a bag. A man in white at the right wears an orange shawl and holds a stick. A bald older man in white stands on the far right near a planter. Red metal railings line the path, and a few people stand near the building entrance.2006-09-16
