December 31 20092009-12-31February 11 20132013-02-11A photograph of a temple-setting exchange. A bald older man in orange robes bends forward, holding a yellow fruit and a folded paper or money, offering them toward a seated man in orange robes with long dark hair, a red bindi and a dark rudraksha mala, who raises one hand in a gesture of speech. Behind them are brass lamps, a small brass bell, a kumkum box, and garlands of orange and purple flowers on a deity or altar display. Two younger men in orange stand at the left edge, one with a white forehead mark. A visible cues-based candidate appears in the seated man, with long hair, orange robes, rudraksha mala and a throne-like seat, so the appearance is a probable match; the bald offerer is a devotee.2010-07-15December 30 20092009-12-30May 04 20162016-05-04February 11 20132013-02-11September 14 20152015-09-14 +1 copiesOctober 19 20132013-10-19Indoor photo in a warmly panelled room. A seated elderly man in orange robes, an orange turban, an orange shawl with a red and gold woven border and a garland of marigolds and rudraksha beads receives a small white card or booklet from a standing younger man in an orange turban and saffron wrap, with long dark hair, who bends forward to hand it over. A carved wooden armchair, a low table with a fruit basket of oranges and apples and a white floral arrangement sit in front of them.2006-12-18A seated man with a full dark beard and eyes closed sits on an ornate gilded throne with carved scrollwork. He wears a pink-red robe with an orange shawl draped over his shoulders, a white beaded necklace and a pendant. A younger person in orange ochre robes leans in from the left, offering a woven basket of fruit. Another hand from the right reaches toward the basket. Behind the throne, orange and gold fabrics and a gilded panel fill the background. The seated man has long swept-back hair absent here; his appearance shows a full beard and shaved head, so the identification is uncertain and he is described by role as the seated figure on the throne receiving the offering.2013-02-14A photograph of a ceremonial offering inside a room with red curtains and a leafy backdrop. A woman in an orange sari with a gold border and a rudraksha mala sits smiling on the left, holding out her hand toward a tray of fruit. In the centre, a seated man in orange robes, an orange turban and a garland of red and white flowers is accepting the offering. On the right, a bare-chested priest with white ash marks on his body and long grey hair holds a silver plate piled with bananas, apples and oranges and a yellow marigold garland. A young man in white stands in the background. The scene resembles a puja offering.2015-01-12Evening ceremony under a white canopy at an ashram event. A man in a saffron-orange kurta with a saffron shawl and dark-rimmed glasses stands at left, reaching toward a bowl of fruit held by a long-haired figure at right wearing a red-orange dhoti and a thick red and orange flower garland, with a bare upper body and a smile. Behind them, a bald man in brown-red robes with rudraksha beads and a wristband speaks into a microphone while holding a red booklet, and another man in a white dhoti with a yellow shawl sits near the front. A gold and yellow flower-decorated throne with a heart-shaped backdrop stands at left, with gold and pink balloons and a red cloth nearby. The long-haired figure at right is a person by appearance: long swept-back hair, saffron-red clothing and a garland, though the identification is appearance-based only.2016-01-03
