February 11 20132013-02-11February 11 20132013-02-11December 31 20092009-12-31Two saffron-clad men embrace warmly on a gold-and-red stage in front of a golden throne and a deity murti with orange garlands. The older man on the left has a long grey beard, white-and-yellow tilak on his forehead and an orange shawl wrapped around him. The man on the right, smiling broadly, wears an orange-brown turban with a red bindi, a rudraksha mala and a gold chain, and has long dark hair; he is a probable Swamiji (probable) in a ceremonial role, with cues of long hair, turban, saffron clothing and rudraksha beads. Behind them a golden peetha, a microphone on a stand and another saffron-robed attendant are visible.2013-02-11A photograph of a ceremonial offering inside a room with red curtains and a leafy backdrop. A woman in an orange sari with a gold border and a rudraksha mala sits smiling on the left, holding out her hand toward a tray of fruit. In the centre, a seated man in orange robes, an orange turban and a garland of red and white flowers is accepting the offering. On the right, a bare-chested priest with white ash marks on his body and long grey hair holds a silver plate piled with bananas, apples and oranges and a yellow marigold garland. A young man in white stands in the background. The scene resembles a puja offering.2015-01-12A seated man with a full dark beard and eyes closed sits on an ornate gilded throne with carved scrollwork. He wears a pink-red robe with an orange shawl draped over his shoulders, a white beaded necklace and a pendant. A younger person in orange ochre robes leans in from the left, offering a woven basket of fruit. Another hand from the right reaches toward the basket. Behind the throne, orange and gold fabrics and a gilded panel fill the background. The seated man has long swept-back hair absent here; his appearance shows a full beard and shaved head, so the identification is uncertain and he is described by role as the seated figure on the throne receiving the offering.2013-02-14February 14 20132013-02-14A photograph inside an orange tent at an ashram event. A man in a saffron-orange turban and orange dhoti-style wrap with a bare chest, a rudraksha-style beaded bracelet and a long beaded tassel stands at a golden throne, extending his arm toward a kneeling, bald man in an orange robe with a yellow-and-orange marigold garland. Behind them a deity murti in silver-trimmed clothing holds a trident, and a fruit basket sits in the lower left. A microphone stand and a seated attendant in white appear in the background. Appearance cues for the standing man (ornate turban, saffron clothing, beaded adornments) are suggestive but not conclusive, so his identity is uncertain.2013-02-11Photograph of two men seated close together in front of an ornate golden throne and a gold-coloured deity figure with a raised arm. The man on the left has a long grey beard, a red-and-white tilak on his forehead, an orange robe and a marigold garland, and is smiling. The man on the right wears an orange-brown turban, dark rudraksha-style beaded necklaces, a gold pendant and a brown shawl, and is laughing with his head tilted. The background is bright orange and red draped cloth.2013-02-11A photograph inside an orange-draped tent. An elderly bearded sadhu in an orange turban, orange robe and orange shawl sits on a carved wooden chair, extending his hands toward a younger man in a rust-coloured robe with a long rudraksha mala and ceremonial silver-toned beads, who leans forward and gestures. A third person in orange clothing sits at the right edge. A basket of fruit and folded currency notes rests on a cloth at the lower left. a person: the younger man in the rust-coloured robe and rudraksha mala is seated in conversation with the elderly sadhu, consistent with a visit.2013-02-15February 06 20132013-02-06June 05 20122012-06-05
