A central figure in an orange-red saffron robe stands with a multi-coloured flower garland, rudraksha mala and a gold chain, one hand raised in greeting. A tall silver ritual post or pillar stands before him on a base scattered with pink and red petals. A devotee's bare-chested figure is not present; behind him many men and women in white dhotis, white saris and cream clothing press forward, several with outstretched arms. At right, a tray of rose petals and brass puja vessels, including a conch shell and small lamps, sits on a wooden board. Rose petals cover the ground.2009-07-08 +1 copiesApril 28 20152015-04-28Outdoor photograph on a dirt lane beside a silver SUV with its driver-side door open. In the foreground a smiling man with long swept-back dark hair wears a saffron-orange shawl and orange garment, a rudraksha mala hanging on his chest, and raises his right palm in greeting. Behind him a bald man in orange robes talks on a mobile phone, and another bald man in orange holds a phone to his ear. To the right a man in a white dhoti and white shirt walks barefoot, with a small child at the edge of the frame. A white car and a yellow-walled building with a red-trimmed balcony stand in the background among palm trees.2012-01-03Outdoor procession at a festival ground beside a white tent with red and gold draping. Robed sannyasis in saffron-orange walk along a red woven carpet. The central figure is bald and wears a saffron robe and sandals. Beside him, a man with long dark hair wears an orange-saffron robe, a saffron turban and a rudraksha mala. Another in orange carries a brass vessel. A multicoloured parasol with a gold emblem shades the group. Men in plain shirts and trousers walk nearby. Blue sky and a metal scaffold frame stand behind.2008-12-31A photograph of an outdoor temple-like courtyard with sandy ground and palm trees. A man in saffron orange robes, bare-footed with a rudraksha mala and a red tilak on his forehead, walks barefoot along a long woven straw mat laid across the sand. Behind him a black stone Nandi bull wrapped in yellow and orange marigold garlands sits on a red pedestal, with dark stone deity sculptures and a tall copper-coloured pillar with garlands. Two men in white dhoti and shawls walk nearby, and several seated people in white and yellow sit at small fire pits and ritual areas on the left. A small brass kalasha sits by a shallow ash-filled pit with rangoli-like white lines on the ground.2010-09-18Outdoor photo at a temple-like site with palms and banana trees behind a low wall. A woman in orange robes, with a yellow-orange turban, a dark rudraksha mala and long dark plaits, points forward while holding the hand of an elderly bald man in orange robes who bends forward, barefoot, on stone steps. Men in white shirts and dhotis, one with a cloth badge, stand around; a red car and a silver SUV with marigold garlands are parked nearby. A man in orange robes with a gold necklace and a notebook stands at the right edge, and another orange-robed man with long hair and a mala stands beside him. The photo's own caption-free frame has no visible text.2009-01-122003-TO-2007-VISUALS-OF-AADIKAILAASAOutdoor photo of a man in an orange-saffron dhoti and orange shawl draped over his left shoulder, bare-chested, with a long dark hair knot at the back of his head and a white tilak on his forehead, smiling and looking downward. Dark rudraksha-style beads hang on his chest. Smoke or steam drifts across the right side of the frame, and a second man in a white shirt with an orange shawl stands partly behind, near a silver Ford vehicle. Palm trees, a tin-roofed white building and a stone statue appear in the background. The shirtless figure has distinctive saffron robes and rudraksha beads consistent with the page's a person reference, so this is a person appearance.2009-06-15
