Children in school-style white shirts, brown trousers and turquoise shirts wear rudraksha malas and hold pink flowers. Adults wear white dhotis and shirts, saffron-orange shawls, pink, purple and yellow saris, and a man in a grey-white shirt sits in front. Green foliage hangs above the doorway, and some devotees photograph the gathering. The setting resembles a devotional assembly during a temple festival preparation.2006-09-23December 31 20092009-12-31July 02 20142014-07-02 +1 copiesAugust 08 20092009-08-08July 02 20142014-07-02 +1 copiesA crowd of devotees gathers outdoors at dusk, many women in colourful saris with jasmine in their hair and gold necklaces. In the centre, an older woman in an orange sari reaches forward with her hands, while a woman in a maroon sari holds her palms together and a man in a white shirt bends forward offering flowers. Behind them, others in white and pastel clothing stand with folded hands. The scene suggests a darshan or blessing line during a procession.2006-10-23A crowded indoor scene in a yellow-walled hall with framed pictures and a red curtain. A barefoot sannyasi in a saffron-orange shawl stands at centre-right, his bare shoulder and back visible, with his hands raised toward devotees. He has long dark hair. A man in white shirt and white dhoti stands at the right edge facing forward. Around them, many devotees press in: women in blue, orange and green saris with braids and gold necklaces, elderly men in white shirts and spectacles, and an older woman in a green floral sari with a tilak at right. Several people have palms pressed together or extended in greeting.2009-01-12June 26 20142014-06-26February 15 20072007-02-15
