Outdoor scene beneath a massive banyan tree with many hanging aerial roots and spreading branches. In the foreground, a person in a deep red-maroon robe stands with palms pressed together in namaskar, wearing a beaded necklace. Around the tree's base, a white-walled low platform surrounds the trunk. To the left, several men in white dhotis and orange/saffron shawls stand near a metal railing, and a colourful canopy structure with yellow and red tones is visible. Stone boulders lie at the lower right. Nearby visible people appear to be attendants in white and saffron garments.2016-08-02December 31 20092009-12-31August 29 20112011-08-29 +1 copiesA large banyan tree with sprawling aerial roots and spreading branches shades a dirt courtyard. At the base of the trunk, a small figure in orange robes stands near a low stone platform. To the right, a dark stone shrine or deity murti is draped in a yellow cloth and sits on a mound of red powder, beside a tall orange and white flag fixed to a pole. A narrow stone path leads through the dust toward the tree.2013-09-10December 31 20092009-12-31April 30 20132013-04-30December 31 20092009-12-31A large, sprawling banyan tree dominates the frame, its thick grey trunk and many aerial roots hanging from wide spreading branches over a paved, low-walled platform with a dark slab. At the lower right, a seated figure in a red sari and a figure in yellow clothing stand beside a red-draped shrine with an ornate silver-framed arch, apparently at a small sacred site beneath the tree.2013-03-24October 07 20062006-10-07A large banyan tree spreads its wide canopy and many aerial roots over an open shaded courtyard. At the right, a small shrine on a red-decorated base holds a deity murti draped with an orange saffron cloth and adorned with garlands. A snake-like coiled stone or offering sits at the shrine's base beside marigold flowers. Paved flat stone and sandy earth paths lead around the tree, with low curved stone borders. A person in pink clothing stands at the far right edge. No one is conspicuously in the central scene. The cloth and garlands mark a sacred tree shrine.2013-07-12August 13 20142014-08-13September 04 20142014-09-04
