Two men in white dhoti and white upper cloth, with saffron-yellow borders, stand at the base of the trunk; one bends forward near the roots while the other stands with hands folded in prayer. A small figure in white stands further right near a railing. Concrete edging, a metal pipe and low walls surround the tree.2014-09-17Outdoor photo beneath a massive banyan tree with dense aerial prop roots and spreading branches over sandy ground. In the lower centre a man with long dark hair wears an orange saffron robe and walks past a white ceremonial umbrella or canopy decorated with gold tassels, garlands and red and blue trim. Behind him a second man in white clothing with an orange shawl walks along the tree. A large white and red circular sign or disc stands at the left edge. The scene has a plain, natural setting with no visible crowd. The first man has long hair and an orange robe, a distinctive presentation, but his face is not clearly visible enough to confirm identity.2006-10-07Outdoor photo beneath a large, sprawling banyan tree with many hanging aerial roots and thick low branches. Several people in orange and saffron clothing stand gathered near a wooden post at the left, including a bare-chested man in a white dhoti and a man in a red-brown dhoti pressing against the trunk side. Women in orange saris and a woman in a blue-and-pink sari stand nearby. At the right, a seated woman in white sits beside a man in an orange robe on a raised platform, with a small shrine area and a colourful deity murti nearby. A smaller figure in orange stands at the center on sandy ground beside a hose. Green shrubs grow in the foreground.2016-09-04Outdoor scene beneath a massive banyan tree with many hanging aerial roots and spreading branches. In the foreground, a person in a deep red-maroon robe stands with palms pressed together in namaskar, wearing a beaded necklace. Around the tree's base, a white-walled low platform surrounds the trunk. To the left, several men in white dhotis and orange/saffron shawls stand near a metal railing, and a colourful canopy structure with yellow and red tones is visible. Stone boulders lie at the lower right. Nearby visible people appear to be attendants in white and saffron garments.2016-08-02A photograph of a large ancient banyan tree with thick aerial roots and sprawling branches at an outdoor shrine. Several people in white and saffron-orange clothing stand on a dark polished stone platform around white-painted raised bases. A man in white with a yellow sash holds a tray of flowers, and a figure in orange robes with a shawl stands near the tree in prayer. Golden poles or lamp stands and white pillars stand nearby, and a trail of flowers rests on the ground.2009-12-27A photograph beneath a large, sprawling banyan tree with many hanging aerial roots and dense canopy, on a sandy red-earth clearing with rocks. In the foreground a man in white clothes with an orange shawl stands facing right. Beside him, a bare-chested man in orange dhoti and orange shawl stands on a rock with his back to the camera, long dark hair falling down. Behind them an older man in white clothes stands near the trunk. A few other people in white and orange are partly visible at the left edge. The faces of the people are not shown in detail. No identity is confirmed from appearance; the bare-chested figure with long hair and orange garments is a candidate only, with uncertain appearance.2006-10-07A large banyan tree with massive aerial roots and spreading limbs dominates the outdoor scene. Two priests in plain white dhoti-style garments with yellow borders stand at its base, one holding a small lamp or offering near the trunk while the other bends toward a metal tray set on a low stone platform. Both wear rudraksha-style beaded necklaces. The ground is reddish earth with a stone border and a hose at left.2014-09-17October 07 20062006-10-07December 31 20092009-12-31December 31 20082008-12-31
