The figure on the left, with a tall crown, raises a hand holding a ritual object and wears layered ornate necklaces and a jewelled chest piece; the figure on the right, also crowned, leans against the first with an arm around its shoulder and its hand resting on the pedestal, wearing elaborate armlets and a dhoti. Both figures have polished gold surfaces reflecting light. Behind them are a plastered wall, bicycles and a small utensil. No living people are visible, and the statue is a deity murti, not a depiction of any person.A polished gold-toned metal statue of a seated deity pair on a lotus pedestal, placed on a dark granite surface. The seated male figure has a tall crown with a crescent moon, holds a drum-like object in one raised hand, and his other hand is in a blessing gesture. A standing female figure with an ornate crown and heavy jewellery stands beside him, her hand extended outward. The statue is a deity murti, not a living person. Behind it, a white ornamental shrine element is partly visible.2009-04-22Photograph of a pair of seated bronze deity murtis, a male figure with a tall crown and a female figure with a smaller crown and jewelled ornaments, placed under a white tarpaulin outdoors among dirt, bricks and trees.
