December 07 20132013-12-07A gilded metal statue of a seated figure in lotus-style meditation posture, right hand raised in blessing, wrapped in flowing robes draped over one shoulder, set within a carved wooden shrine with turned pillars and a leafy background. The figure has long swept hair and a faint smile. This is a statue, not a living person, and no printed name is visible on it.2013-12-07October 07 20102010-10-07September 28 20142014-09-28December 07 20132013-12-07Close photograph of a copper kalasha-like ritual vessel topped with a bundle of green leaves and dry grass, its front niche holding a small bronze seated figure with raised hand, draped in a robe. The vessel is garlanded with thick yellow marigold strands and a few pink flowers. Palm fronds and trees fill the background. At the bottom edge, bare brown knees and an orange-brown beaded mala are partly visible, indicating a person seated below the vessel. The scene suggests a temple-style procession or ceremonial dhwaja setting.2013-12-18A carved wooden shrine panel decorated with yellow marigold and red rose garlands and dry straw or grass bundles. Inside a recessed niche sits a seated gilded or bronze-toned figure in a draped robe, one hand raised to the cheek in a contemplative pose, wearing a long rudraksha mala and a red tilak on the forehead. Ornate carved columns frame the niche, and the sky is pale behind the structure.2010-07-05April 14 20132013-04-14 +1 copiesMay 23 20132013-05-23A standing silver-coloured statue of a long-haired male figure in a gilded ornate arch framed by orange and gold silk drapery. The statue wears a rust-red dhoti-style garment with a golden border, a thick rudraksha mala across the chest, layered gold and bead necklaces, a gold pendant, rudraksha bracelets, and a red tilak on the forehead. Its right hand is raised in abhaya mudra. A yellow silk cloth is draped at its feet. Since the figure is a statue, no physical people are shown.2013-05-17March 24 20132013-03-24February 08 20132013-02-08
