A priest in a white dhoti with a shaved head holds a lit oil lamp in a brass vessel, while another attendant in a pink and purple wrap stands beside a second figure in saffron clothing with a rudraksha mala. Lit lamps, marigold and rose offerings, and a small decorated pedestal sit in front of the murtis, with a brass kalasha at the lower right. The area is an abhishekam-style ritual setting.2018-04-14A photograph of a temple ritual in front of a richly decorated golden shrine with a green and red backdrop. Two standing priests in white dhotis and purple wraps and a seated figure at right perform the ceremony around a deity murti, which is adorned with garlands of white and red flowers, a golden crown and jewelled necklaces. A priest in a white dhoti with a green and gold headpiece holds a coconut or offering in cupped hands while another in a blue-violet wrap stands beside him. Golden lamp stands and a flower-decorated altar complete the scene. The seated figure in a crown and red turban at the top of the altar appears to be a murti rather than a living person, and no identifiable a person figure is clearly visible in person.2015-10-18
