The man on the left, in a white shirt and white dhoti with glasses and a tilak on his forehead, leans forward over the mix. The man in the center wears a white shirt and a green-and-yellow checked lungi and uses a flat metal trowel to scoop grey concrete from a metal tray. The man on the right wears a striped white shirt, a white dhoti and a pink-and-white checked head cloth, and stands bent over the mixture. Sand heaps, scattered bricks and a wooden frame sit around them, and other workers and a woman in an orange sari are visible in the background.2006-12-09A night-time photograph of metal casting work on dusty red earth. A man in a black t-shirt and a blue-and-beige checked lungi, wearing a beaded necklace and a copper bracelet, leans over a red-glowing crucible or mould with a long wooden pole, while smoke rises around him. Beside him, a second man in a white vest and light lungi bends toward the pit, and a third man in a white shirt and checked lungi holds a turquoise thermos or can. Cardboard sheets and scattered debris lie on the ground, and a tyre is visible at the left edge.2006-12-10April 13 20082008-04-13Workers dig a deep excavation pit of reddish-brown earth for a temple foundation. Seven men are visible in the pit and at its edges, several using long metal rods or crowbars to loosen soil and rocks. Some wear white shirts and lungis, one in a checked shirt, and several have striped or pink headcloths tied around their heads. Loose stones lie on the pit floor. A figure in a pink shirt sits at the lower right edge. No a person candidate is visible in the scene.2006-10-25September 16 20132013-09-16A night-time outdoor scene on bare red earth showing three men working at a metal casting pit. The man in front, in a dark grey t-shirt and striped checked lungi with a rudraksha-style beaded necklace, leans forward and presses a long wooden pole onto a round red-brown metal lid set over a pit of glowing molten metal and smoke. Behind him a second man in a white vest and light checked lungi bends over the work with a tool, and a third man in a white shirt and light striped lungi stands at right holding a teal plastic bottle. Scattered cardboard, plastic sheets and debris lie on the ground around the pit, with a grey wall behind.2006-12-10July 14 20132013-07-14December 31 20032003-12-31
