Men stand around a glowing crucible set over an open fire, with a long iron rod held by two men at left and right to tilt or steady it. Molten metal glows orange in the crucible while smoke drifts through the frame. A man in a white shirt and white dhoti stands at centre, another in a white shirt kneels at left, and a man in a plaid shirt and white dhoti watches at centre-right. A man in orange-brown dhoti with a beaded necklace bends forward at right. Brick walls form the background.2013-10-05Night-time photo at an outdoor construction site with bright floodlight glare and a dusty red-earth ground. Several men in dhotis and loose shirts work around a large stone mortar; a bare-chested man in a pink-and-grey checked lungi pounds a long wooden pestle into it while others in white head cloths and yellow tops watch and steady a sack. Stone sculptures and carved blocks, including what appear to be deity figures, are stacked to the right. Five or six people are visible. No identifiable a person appearance is present among the workers.2008-04-13April 13 20082008-04-13A night-time photograph of metal casting work on dusty red earth. A man in a black t-shirt and a blue-and-beige checked lungi, wearing a beaded necklace and a copper bracelet, leans over a red-glowing crucible or mould with a long wooden pole, while smoke rises around him. Beside him, a second man in a white vest and light lungi bends toward the pit, and a third man in a white shirt and checked lungi holds a turquoise thermos or can. Cardboard sheets and scattered debris lie on the ground, and a tyre is visible at the left edge.2006-12-10Night photograph of an open-sided hall with a brick wall behind a fire pit on a dirt floor. Several men in white shirts and dhotis or lungis stand around a glowing fire, one holding a long iron rod poking into the embers. On the right a shirtless man in a dark vest and checked lungi leans toward the flames. Behind them two men in orange and maroon robes with bare upper bodies, one in a maroon dhoti with yellow border, stand watching. Scattered offerings lie on the ground.2013-09-16Outdoor photo at dusk or night on a dirt site stacked with pale bricks. A figure in a flowing saffron-orange robe with a bare right arm, hair pinned up, stands at right. Several workers in simple clothes, white shirts, checked lungis and head cloths, crouch and bend near the ground, one handling a pot or bowl. A man in a yellow shirt stands at far left.2008-04-13October 05 20132013-10-05
