Dusk at an outdoor shrine beneath a large banyan tree with dense overhead branches. A figure with long dark hair in an orange-saffron garment stands at left, holding a lit flame in a lamp or torch as an arati offering. Before them is a stone-framed arched niche with a dark stone deity murti or lingam wrapped in white cloth and garlanded with flowers, a metal kalasha or pot placed in front. Brass lamps, a plate of offerings and a small flame sit on a mat around a pebble-lined base edged in black and white stones, with a pink flower at the base.
