A small figure is partly visible at the very top. An orange-red flag with a dark blue emblem flutters from the pole, and strings of marigold garlands and green, pink and white beads hang down its length and across to a coconut palm behind. A faint purple-and-white logo sits in the upper left corner. The pole appears to be a festival ritual flagstaff.2007-12-25A tall copper dhvajastambha, a ceremonial flagstaff, rises from a red stone base at a temple courtyard. Its shaft is banded with copper rings, topped by a tiered finial with a small gold-coloured cap, and an orange flag hangs from near the top. A dark thatched rope is wound around the lower shaft, and marigold garlands decorate the base. A tiled-roofed shed stands to the right, with a white-draped figure and a bull-like sculpture nearby. Coconut palms and a large tree frame the sky.2010-12-26Low-angle photo of a tall, slender copper-coloured flagstaff rising against a clear blue sky, its surface wrapped in spiralling bands and topped by a tiered finial with tufts of straw or grass at the crown. A red-orange flag is attached near the top and guy ropes run down toward the ground. No people are visible. This appears to be the flag-hoisting pole of the Brahmotsava event.2008-12-23Low-angle photo of a tall, slender reddish-brown wooden flagstaff rising against an overcast white sky. No people are visible.2010-07-04Low-angle photograph of a tall copper-coloured ceremonial flagstaff against a pale cloudy sky. A saffron-orange cloth flag streams from a rope on its side, and a garland of yellow and orange flowers hangs from the left under a metal roof edge. A palm frond appears at the right against a bright sky. No people are visible. This matches the dwajarohana flag-raising ritual noted on the page, though that is not visible in the photo itself.2011-09-09
