A man in white dhoti with gold-bordered cloth and a heavy gold bead necklace holds a silver plate of yellow-orange thread or kalava and ties it on another person's wrist; that wrist shows a green-and-clear bead bracelet and gold bangles. Beside them, a person in an orange-red saffron robe with gold border and a gold bead necklace with a pendant holds a second silver plate. Behind is an ornate gold-and-red throne-like chair, and on the right a tray with flowers, red cloth and small ritual items. Orange-painted walls surround the scene.2010-12-23Annadhan in 20152015-01-01 +1 copiesA photograph of a ritual scene beside a vehicle with a garlanded front. Another person in white is partly visible at the top, hands pressed together. Flowers, marigold garlands and a red-and-green garland drape the vehicle. Two people are visible in the foreground, with one more partially visible.2008-05-03Outdoor fire ritual under palm trees with a smoking fire pit in the foreground. Two men in saffron-orange cloth stand at the pit: one bare-chested with a long rudraksha-style mala and a tied red-orange wrap, pouring offerings, and a second in a long orange robe holding a yellow offering item over the fire. Smoke rises in the bright daylight. An inset photo at left shows a man in orange wrap wearing a rudraksha mala and holding a ritual item.
