Two side-by-side photographs in a warm, soft-focus frame. On the left, a person in a saffron-orange robe sits with hands clasped, with a bare forearm and bracelet visible. On the right, a man with a shaved head, wearing a white dhoti and a tilak on his forehead, holds a brass plate or bowl with offerings while another person in white stands close. The scene suggests an ashram devotional setting with ritual offerings.2010-08-07August 03 20102010-08-03October 07 20112011-10-07 +1 copiesJuly 12 20102010-07-12A photograph of a fire ritual at an outdoor temple setting. A young man with a shaved head in a white dhoti stands at left, tending the ceremony. A seated figure in saffron-orange robes with a rudraksha mala and ornate gold necklace, with long swept-back hair, sits on a red-cushioned throne-like seat and holds a ritual object above a brass vessel. Brass pots, oil lamps and offerings are arranged in front of the seat, with a fire pit and a deity-decorated backdrop behind. a person is seated centrally, performing or presiding over the homa.August 06 20102010-08-06A photograph of a group of men seated on the floor in an indoor ritual setting, performing a puja. Several figures in front wear saffron-orange cloth and rudraksha malas, while men behind them wear plain white dhotis and shawls. The seated men hold small items in their hands, with brass vessels and offerings in front of them. The men in orange are seated closest to the camera, and a few shaved-headed men in white stand or sit in the background. Overall it looks like a formal temple or ashram ritual with devotees in saffron and white.2010-10-19 +1 copiesAugust 29 20102010-08-29August 21 20102010-08-21November 16 20102010-11-16A photograph of a seated ritual gathering in an indoor hall. In the centre, a man with long dark hair wears an orange-saffron dhoti and shawl with a red-and-black rudraksha mala, holding his hands together before a tray of offerings, with a small bowl of food and containers nearby. Beside him on the left, a shaved-headed man in orange robes sits; behind him, another shaved-headed man in white ritual cloth participates. Another person in white is visible on the right. The central figure's appearance is consistent with the page's reference to a person, with cues of long hair, saffron clothing and a rudraksha mala, so the identification is probable. The scene suggests a padapuja or puja offering.2011-10-15 +1 copiesNovember 23 20102010-11-23
