Around him are brass and silver puja implements: a silver pitcher, bowls, a conch shell, a covered plate and small cups. Beside him, a seated murti in saffron robes with an orange turban, rudraksha mala and a silver necklace is adorned with a garland of yellow and purple flowers. A folded red and gold cloth lies in the foreground. The setting is an open-sided shrine with orange and red walls and a silver lamp stand. The priest's attire and the seated figure are part of a ritual scene; the priest appears to perform an aarti or puja.2010-12-16April 28 20152015-04-28A photograph of an outdoor temple shrine with an orange-curtained pavilion. Two men in white dhotis and yellow shawls sit on the orange floor at the front, one with hands pressed together in prayer. In the centre, a framed portrait of a saffron-robed man with a long hair and a beaded mala, raising one hand in blessing, sits on a red throne in front of a deity murti of a goddess with a crown and a trident-like weapon, garlanded with flowers. Brass oil lamps and kalasha-like vessels, plates of flowers, fruit and leaves line the floor, with rows of small brass lamps arranged in front, consistent with a puja.2010-06-06A photograph of a temple shrine ritual in an open-air pavilion with orange curtains. A bare-chested priest in white dhoti and white shawl stands with hands folded in namaskar before an altar of deity murtis draped with yellow, orange and white flower garlands. Incense smoke rises. Seated at left, a man in saffron robes, a rudraksha mala and a patterned cap sits with joined hands. Brass lamps, a kalasha-like vessel, and metal plates of food and flowers sit on the floor in front. Stone temple carvings and a microphone are visible.2010-11-12
