Many devotees in white clothes sit on mats facing a central area, where a red-cloth-covered table and a red pillar structure stand. An orange-walled building with white-and-red striped trim is at left, and a tall red-and-white pole rises at right beside a small deity shrine. Some people in white sit on the right; a figure in an orange-brown garment sits near the front center. The scene reads as a satsang gathering.2010-09-19May 13 20152015-05-13October 08 20082008-10-08Outdoor ritual gathering under a open-sided shed roof with palm trees and strings of small triangular orange and pink pennant flags overhead. In the foreground, a person with long dark hair and a flower garland sits cross-legged on a raised seat in an orange cloth, with a microphone stand in front. Behind a low rectangular platform of concrete blocks, a sacred fire pit smokes, with brass vessels, a kalasha-style pot and a mound of marigold and flower offerings. Many people in white clothes sit in rows on the ground, while others in orange garments sit near the platform. A pink and orange draped backdrop hangs behind the seating area, and baskets of fruit sit at the right edge. Hazy sunlight fills the scene.2006-12-29Outdoor satsang with a large seated congregation on striped multicolored mats under an open-sided pavilion roof with hanging lamps and palm trees. Many participants wear white dhotis with orange-gold borders and rudraksha malas; some men are bare-chested, one man wears a white head wrap, and others wear white kurtas. Several figures are seated in meditation posture with eyes closed or lowered. Further back, people in white and saffron stand near a raised platform with a few sacred items and ritual lamps. The crowd is dense and extends across the frame.2015-05-13November 12 20102010-11-12 +1 copiesDecember 22 20102010-12-22A photograph of an outdoor ashram gathering on a dirt courtyard with palm trees behind. Thirty to fifty people sit in rows on mats and the ground, mostly in white clothes, with some in orange and saffron and some in pink and purple saris. A low concrete platform in the foreground holds a small brown pyramid-roofed shrine. Along the courtyard walls hang colourful printed banners and posters, and a dark stone sculpture stands at right beside a yellow-painted building with a white and red striped base. Rangoli kolam patterns decorate the ground at right. A white van is parked in the background.2010-09-19
