December 19 20212021-12-19April 14 20132013-04-14Outdoor photograph of a man in profile holding a silver aarti lamp with a bright flame, performing a ritual before a decorated altar. He wears an orange-saffron cloth draped over the body, a long white flower garland with green leaves across his shoulder, gold bangles on his wrists, and a white forehead mark. Behind him a red and yellow fringed canopy stands near a pole, with pink and white flower garlands and a blue-cloth altar draped with white blossoms. Green foliage and pink flowering bushes fill the background. The figure matches appearance cues of the Swamiji candidate (long swept-back hair, saffron clothing, garlands, gold ornaments), so this is a probable Swamiji performing aarti.2013-01-06December 23 20162016-12-23December 14 20162016-12-14OTHER - MY KAILASA IS NOT IN THIS LIST on 4/8/20212021-04-08A smiling person in a red dhoti and red shawl stands outdoors before a palm tree, holding a brass aarti lamp with a flame and smoke in one hand and a brass bell in the other. A large garland of red and white flowers hangs over the shoulders, with a gold-coloured rudraksha mala and gold necklace at the chest. Smoke drifts upward from the lamp. To the left, an ornate reddish-brown temple structure is draped with yellow marigold garlands. The scene suggests an aarti offering in an outdoor temple setting.2012-04-23A photograph of a priest in saffron cloth with a bare upper body performing puja in a small shrine. He holds a lit oil lamp in his right hand and a brass bell in his left, facing a large framed portrait of a bearded man on a gilded red-cushioned throne. The portrait shows him in an orange turban with a tilak, a garland of pink and white flowers, gold necklaces, and a raised blessing hand. Framed black-and-white and colour photographs hang on the wall, and flower garlands decorate the wall at left.2021-11-14January 01 20172017-01-01November 14 20212021-11-14December 23 20162016-12-23January 11 20162016-01-11
