Under a multicolored canopy with embroidered panels, a figure in orange and white walks at the centre of the group. Musicians lead the procession: a drummer in an orange shirt and dhoti plays a drum slung at his waist, a man in a yellow shirt and red-and-white cloth plays a long wind instrument, and a man in a white shirt with a red-and-orange rudraksha-style mala and an ID badge plays a long horn-like pipe. Other men wear white kurtas and dhotis, some with orange shawls, and a man with a white forehead band plays a flute-like instrument. A red-and-white barrier runs along the left edge of the road.2005-01-01A procession moves along a dirt path lined with palm and coconut trees. In the foreground, musicians play long brass and wooden horns (nadaswaram-style pipes). The front musicians wear white shirts and white dhotis with gold borders, and one woman in a red sari with a white border plays a horn. A man in a beige shirt and white dhoti leads the line. Behind them, a group of men in white shirts and dhotis walk toward a decorated float or palanquin with colourful bunting and hangings in the distance. A forehead mark is visible on one musician. The scene is outdoors in daylight.2005-01-01
