Photograph of a seated group of women in saffron-orange robes performing a ritual. In the foreground, two women sit on the floor: the left has long dark hair and a white vertical tilak on her forehead, eyes lowered, hands near a small brass lamp; the right has curly reddish hair, a white tilak with a red dot, and long brown rudraksha malas, reaching toward a small brass cup and a folded white cloth. Behind them, women in maroon tops with gold trim sit in rows, some with hands folded. Brass dishes, a blue-and-white container, and a small kalasha-style vessel sit on a low table, with a lit oil lamp in the lower left.
