Beside him an older man in an orange-and-cream shawl and white dhoti, also garlanded, presses his palms together. Behind them saffron-robed monks with shaved heads and gold chains walk under a decorated umbrella, with a tall gold staff and palm trees behind. A central man with a shaved-head look wears a dark maroon-brown wrapped garment, a long gold-bead and rudraksha-style mala, and a thick red and yellow marigold garland with white flower strands. Beside him on the left, an older man in an orange shawl and white dhoti wears a white jasmine garland and holds his hands together. Flanked by saffron-robed priests and men in white shirts, many with flower garlands, some raising hands. A wooden palanquin pole and an ornate fan-shaped canopy appear at top right.
