Outdoor procession scene with a central man in reddish-brown dhoti and shawl wearing a heavy gold bead necklace and a long multicolour marigold and rose garland, smiling and holding his hands together at the waist. Around him, men in white dhotis and shirts and saffron-orange robes wear white jasmine and yellow marigold garlands. A bald man in orange and a bespectacled man in white with a gold chain stand nearby, and a golden ceremonial umbrella with hanging ornaments appears at upper right under palm trees and a clear sky.2013-11-11A procession on a street with an ornate umbrella-style canopy and a trident-topped parasol above. In the centre, a smiling man with hair tied back wears a red-orange silk robe, layered gold-bead and rudraksha necklaces, and a thick red-and-white flower garland with yellow marigolds. Around him, several monks in saffron-orange robes and gold beaded necklaces walk alongside, while a man on the right in a white dhoti with gold border and rudraksha mala looks down. A brass horn is visible among the crowd. The scene reads as a temple or ritual procession.2013-11-11Outdoor procession under a golden parasol with a palm tree behind. A central man with a shaved-head look wears a dark maroon-brown wrapped garment, a long gold-bead and rudraksha-style mala, and a thick red and yellow marigold garland with white flower strands. Beside him on the left, an older man in an orange shawl and white dhoti wears a white jasmine garland and holds his hands together. Flanked by saffron-robed priests and men in white shirts, many with flower garlands, some raising hands. A wooden palanquin pole and an ornate fan-shaped canopy appear at top right. Saffron and orange clothing dominates the scene; the central figure's appearance does not clearly establish the a person identity.2013-11-11Outdoor procession with a central man in a dark red-brown dhoti and shawl, wearing a heavy gold-bead necklace and a thick brown bead mala, draped in long garlands of white jasmine and red and yellow flowers, smiling and walking with his palms joined in a greeting. Beside him an older man in an orange-and-cream shawl and white dhoti, also garlanded, presses his palms together. Behind them saffron-robed monks with shaved heads and gold chains walk under a decorated umbrella, with a tall gold staff and palm trees behind. White-clad men in garlands flank the procession, which appears to be a ceremonial outdoor walk.2013-11-11November 11 20132013-11-11January 03 20162016-01-03Photo 116877122014-07-04November 11 20132013-11-11Photo 11691985 +1 copiesA photograph of a procession on a dirt path lined with palm trees and leafy green shrubs.
