A brass bowl containing a yellow liquid sits at the front edge of the pit. Behind, a large floor mat with bold red, green, blue and yellow horizontal stripes is laid out, and a brass oil lamp is visible at the left edge. No full faces are shown.

In the foreground a bare-chested priest in a cream turban and white dhoti kneels at a square fire pit lined with yellow-and-white painted brick, stirring the flames with a long wooden ladle. The fire rises tall and orange from sand inside the pit. Behind him a second bare-chested man in a white dhoti, wearing a layered beaded mala, sits beside silver trays of fruit, flowers and offerings. Several seated women in saffron, purple, teal and red saris and a green-and-orange striped mat fill the background, with a brass oil lamp standing at right.2026-02-14 +1 copiesMarch 02 20212021-03-02
