The seated figure wears saffron-orange robes, a long swept-back dark hair, and a beaded rudraksha-style garland with a gold ceremonial necklace; the appearance cues are sufficient for a probable Swamiji candidate. He extends his hand toward a crowd. Around him, devotees in saffron and white clothes press forward; a woman in a red sari stands with her hands folded, and a man in white with a red shawl raises both hands in greeting at right. A bald man in saffron and a devotee in white with a red shawl kneel or bow near the throne's base. A small book rests on the throne's side, and flags and palm fronds are visible behind the crowd. Probable Swamiji candidate seated on throne, receiving devotees.2013-12-26December 26 20132013-12-26Night photograph taken from above of a decorated outdoor shrine beside dark water. A deity murti stands under a large arch of multicoloured garlands in yellow, purple, red and white, with a round canopy above. Men in white dhotis perform worship at the base, one holding a lamp and another a drum at right. Several women in orange and rust-coloured saris, one with a white shawl, stand in a row on stone steps with hands folded in prayer. Children in light clothing stand at the right edge. The scene suggests an evening puja or aarti.2013-11-20A large seated gathering of young and adult devotees in saffron-orange robes and orange turbans, many wearing long rudraksha malas and gold necklaces, some with white tilak marks on their foreheads. Rows of people sit closely together on the floor in a hall with red and white decorations behind them. One person in the front center wears an orange turban with a red bindi and dark rudraksha beads, while a younger attendee on the right wears a white turban and white robe. No clear distinctive a person candidate is identifiable from appearance, so the image is treated as a general assembly of sannyasi devotees and students.2017-08-11Night view of a large outdoor tank with a dark stone shivalingam-style structure rising from a stepped platform in the water. Rows of seated devotees fill tiered stone steps on the right, many in red, maroon and white clothing, with a woman in a yellow sari sitting in the foreground. Floodlights and string lights with a green and red garland of lamps line the stands. In the distance, a small group of people in orange and white stands near a decorated platform beside the water, which reflects the lights.2013-12-26 +1 copies
