The framed portrait shows a smiling man in an orange turban and orange shawl with a red bindi, captioned in print as Paramahamsa Nithyananda. The golden throne has a tiger-skin cushion and empty seats, flanked by carved lion heads, with black beaded strings and hanging brass lamps around it. Three people sit at the base: a figure in orange cloth on the left, a central priest in white dhoti and shawl with rudraksha beads, and a person in red on the right, seemingly performing ritual service. Painted deity figures holding lamps and an ornate kalasha-like decoration frame the sides.2014-08-08December 31 20132013-12-31 +1 copiesA golden throne-shaped altar framed in ornate gilt carvings holds a large framed photograph of a smiling man in an orange turban and orange-saffron shawl with a red bindi, labelled as a portrait. In front, a tiger-skin cloth covers the seat, flanked by golden lion heads and two cushions. Three shaven-headed young men in orange robes kneel in the foreground, one with a white tilak, before silver plates of offerings and flowers. Hanging brass oil lamps and a dark wall with dotted strings complete the shrine. The three kneeling figures are the physical people; the smiling figure appears only in the printed portrait, not as a physical presence.2013-12-31 +1 copiesA photograph of a gilded ornate throne draped with a tiger-striped cloth, with a framed portrait labelled "PARAMAHAMSA NITHYANANDA" on the backrest.
