A string of brown rudraksha-style beads hangs over the chest, and a red bindi is on the forehead. Small pink petals or lights float in the dark background. The figure rests hands together in the lap, appearing calm and seated in front of the fire. Swamiji (probable): long swept-back hair, saffron-red clothing, rudraksha mala and throne seating.2013-11-04Night outdoor homa at an ashram. A figure in a maroon-brown wrap and robe sits on an ornate red and gold throne, one hand raised to the forehead with a vibhuti or tilak mark, eyes lowered. A large fire blazes in a yellow-edged pit in the foreground with scattered wood and marigold petals. To the left, a woman in orange sits beside the fire with a yellow cloth. On the right, several young people in orange and saffron clothing sit on the ground with shaved or tied hair and beaded necklaces. String lights and dark foliage frame the scene.2013-11-04November 19 20132013-11-19November 25 20142014-11-25October 27 20142014-10-27October 27 20142014-10-27Night outdoor homa at an ashram: a sacred fire burns in a stone fire pit lined with yellow marigold petals, with wood and offerings visible. A seated figure in dark red-maroon robes sits on an ornate red throne with gold carved trim, one hand raised to the forehead. Several people in saffron-orange robes sit on the ground around the fire, one with vibhuti marks and beads, others with white-marked foreheads. Strings of small colourful lights and palm foliage surround the scene. Appearance-based cues on the throned figure are insufficient for a confident identity claim, so he is described by role only.2013-11-04May 11 20132013-05-11
