Dry grass or bundled straw burns with bright flames and glowing embers, and wisps of smoke rise. A large ornate silver bowl with engraved floral borders sits at left, and a silver lamp or vessel with a curved handle appears at upper left. At right, a hand holding a thin stick or incense-like object feeds the fire; a rudraksha-style bead strand is visible at the wrist. The scene suggests a homa or fire offering, with no other people visible.2015-07-09December 16 20112011-12-16Close-up photograph of ritual objects on a wooden surface scattered with rose petals.
