In the center, a seated figure in a red and maroon garment with a red headpiece and rudraksha-style mala sits on a golden throne with a tiger-skin cover, flanked by two tall painted deity murti figures in gold ornaments and green-and-orange lower garments. In the foreground, a person in a white and gold cloth raises a lit flame or camphor aarti toward the throne. At left, a shaved-headed priest in saffron-orange robes sits with a brass lamp. At right, several women in orange and saffron saris sit with hands folded in prayer, and a child is partly visible. Brass oil lamps stand along the red carpeted floor.2014-04-13Interior of a brightly painted temple hall with turquoise walls and pink-and-green ornamental trim. In the foreground, a bald man with his back to the camera wears a saffron-orange garment with gold border and holds a lit multi-tiered aarti lamp, its flames blazing, while water is poured from a vessel in his other hand. At left, a seated man in white dhoti and shawl sits on a mat before a small bronze vessel and speaks into a microphone. A young girl in white stands beside him. Behind them, a large painted deity murti with multiple arms, a trident and flaming crown stands in an arched niche. In the centre, a woman in a red-brown robe sits on a gilded throne-like seat before a gold-framed doorway hung with brass lamps. Floral garlands lie near the lower left corner.2013-02-04May 08 20132013-05-08Photograph of a ceremonial hall with a red velvet canopy and painted deity statue. A multi-tiered brass oil lamp with many lit wicks stands in the foreground, blurred. Behind it, a seated man in an ornate golden throne with tiger-skin cushions wears orange robes, a rudraksha mala and a red-and-white garland, and smiles. Two attendants in orange robes sit at the throne's base, one holding out an offering. A large golden four-armed deity murti stands at left in a painted niche. Two men in white dhotis sit on the floor at left, one tending the ritual, with a pair of scissors on the polished floor. A man's arm holding a flame appears at the left edge. The scene suggests a puja or aarti setting.2013-05-09February 17 20132013-02-17May 09 20132013-05-09February 22 20132013-02-22 +1 copiesA photo of a ritual on a raised stage before a decorated shrine with a golden deity murti garlanded in red and white flowers. A seated man in a saffron-brown dhoti and a bright orange-and-red cloth wrap, wearing an ornate turban and gold necklace, sits on a golden throne with palms pressed together in namaskar. A shirtless priest in an orange dhoti stands at left, applying something to the deity, and another man in orange kneels at right with hands folded. Oil lamps flicker in front, flanked by golden trishula staffs and red-and-gold canopy banners, with maroon drapes behind. The visible appearance of the seated figure, with turban, ornate gold adornment and saffron clothing, is a probable match for Swamiji, shown in a satsang-style puja setting.2016-11-05May 09 20132013-05-09
