Night procession scene: a central figure in an orange-saffron dhoti and a long red-and-white flower garland, with a gold-patterned ornate chest piece, descends a dark metal stepladder beside a richly decorated golden palanquin with tassels and lit lamps. Behind him a red-and-gold ceremonial umbrella and a silver trident on a pole stand out. To the left, a shaved-headed priest in white dhoti with white sacred ash on his face and a rudraksha mala stoops near the steps; to the right, a man in saffron robes steadies the ladder. A photographer's camera is visible at lower left, and a few more figures stand in the background. Overall, a temple or ashram ceremony at night.2013-03-02March 02 20132013-03-02 +1 copiesMay 27 20132013-05-27February 10 20132013-02-10March 02 20132013-03-02Night outdoor procession at a temple-style event. A bearded man in a rust-orange robe and orange turban-style headwear sits on a golden-framed palanquin or ratha, garlanded with yellow and pink flower garlands and a long rudraksha-style mala. Behind him a golden deity murti stands under a tall golden arch with floral garlands. Around him, shirtless and white-clad attendants in orange and gold shawls, rudraksha malas and sacred ash markings stand close; one older man in a white dhoti and orange shawl bends to hold a pair of sandals for him. A man in orange dhoti holds a fan-shaped chamara and a yellow kalasha-style staff stands beside, with a green umbrella at left and string lights in the background.2016-11-05Night procession at a temple-like site with string lights. A man with long, swept-back dark hair wears an orange saffron shawl over a saffron dhoti with gold borders, a gold bead necklace, and a red bindi; hands are folded and he gazes upward. Behind him, men in white dhotis carry a flower-garlanded palanquin with a richly adorned deity murti under a red, yellow and green canopy umbrella. Oil lamps and a 'मंदिर' (temple) sign appear in the background. Appearance-based cues on the foreground figure (long hair, saffron clothing, gold beads) fit a probable Swamiji.2010-11-21A photograph of a long-haired man in an orange saffron dhoti and shawl, wearing layered red and white flower garlands and gold beaded necklaces, standing on a red-cushioned step beside a richly decorated golden palanquin or ratha. The palanquin is draped with marigold and yellow flower garlands and hung with colourful tassels, bells and a multicoloured canopy overhead. Around him, men in white dhotis hold a long pole and a red umbrella, and another man in orange robes kneels nearby. The man in orange appears to be a person by his long hair, saffron attire and ceremonial garlands, shown in a procession setting. Bright daylight and a clear sky frame the scene.2012-01-01Night procession on a flower-decorated chariot with an ornately carved gold base draped in marigold and rose garlands. A seated figure in saffron robes, a gold crown and a pink-and-white garland sits on a cushioned seat at centre-left, a probable Swamiji by his crown, saffron clothing and rudraksha-style adornments. A bare-chested priest in saffron dhoti holds a silver trident aloft beside a second bare-chested attendant in ash-smeared saffron cloth carrying a silver staff. Above them a large red-and-blue canopy with fringed tassels and hanging bells shelters the chariot. Street lamps glow in the background and a bald attendant stands behind the seat. The scene suggests a ceremonial procession.2013-02-10October 17 20102010-10-17November 23 20172017-11-23November 22 20152015-11-22
