A red tilak mark is on her forehead and a thin chain-like necklace hangs at her chest. Behind her are stacked bricks with a silver bowl, small brass vessels and red-decorated plates. A brick fire pit with bright flames holds a silver vessel, with small oil lamps and brass cups and bowls arranged around it. A standing woman in a deep red-maroon wrap garment with a red bindi holds a silver tray in one hand and a cloth bundle in the other, offering into the fire. Behind her, several people in white clothes sit cross-legged with palms pressed together in prayer, and a few others stand at the left with hands folded. A glowing lamp and palm plants are in the background.2013-12-13December 13 20132013-12-13A woman in orange and maroon draped clothing and a red and gold garland holds a lit aarti lamp with a flame in a silver dish, with a small bell in her other hand. Her hair is loose, with a red kumkum mark on her forehead. Behind her, another person in orange and a person in white ritual attire stand in a warmly lit room with a red curtain and a gold-trimmed seat or throne. The scene suggests an aarti ritual.2013-05-19
