October 07 20122012-10-07A photograph inside a hall with pale walls and colourful tasselled banners. A man in a saffron-orange robe with gold border, long swept-back dark hair and multiple beaded garlands stands at centre, placing a hand on the head of a devotee in a white shirt who bends forward with hands on his chest. Swamiji (probable): the central figure has long swept-back hair, saffron clothing and ceremonial gold-bead necklaces. Beside him stand other saffron-robed sannyasis, one bald with white ash markings on the arms and garlands. To the left a man in a black shirt presses palms together, and a man in a blue striped shirt with a lanyard looks on. A white table edge is visible at right.2011-02-22A man in an orange saffron shawl with a rudraksha mala around his neck places his right palm on the forehead of a man in a white shirt and white dhoti. The orange-clad man has hair tied back in a bun and a red-tinted tilak on his forehead, appearing to give a blessing. The white-clad man has his hand raised in a gesture of receiving it. Behind them are wooden shelves with a brass lamp and a plant against a pale wall, with a dark red curtain at left. A woman is partly visible at the far right edge.2011-11-26April 27 20142014-04-27A photograph inside a hall with pink walls and decorative colourful tassel hangings. In the centre, a smiling man with swept-back dark hair wears an orange saffron garment with gold borders and a heavy gold-beaded garland; he appears to be the Swamiji (probable), given his saffron clothing, ornate gold necklaces and swept-back hair. Beside him, a shaved-headed attendant in matching orange robes and gold necklace holds a white tray with gold items and has white markings on his arm. To the left, a man in a black polo shirt with a lanyard presses his palms together, while a man in a white shirt bends forward in front of him. Several other people in white, grey and light blue shirts stand behind, and a projection screen is visible at upper right.2011-02-22February 02 20132013-02-02A devotee in white shirt and white dhoti bows forward with hands folded and head lowered while a man in saffron robes and a black rudraksha mala smiles and touches the devotee's head with a hand. A silver tray holding gold-coloured objects is offered by a man in white dhoti with a sacred shawl, and another attendant with white forehead markings stands on the right. Several other men in white clothes stand around in an indoor hall with coloured decorative pillars and a whitewashed wall. The saffron-robed man has long swept-back hair and gold necklaces, a distinctive cue, so this is an appearance-based a person blessing a devotee, with the rest of the scene showing a darshan or blessing.2010-10-20October 08 20122012-10-08November 02 20112011-11-02A smiling man in saffron-orange robes with a red-and-white tilak on his forehead stands at the centre of an indoor hall, holding a red tray or box of offerings while his right hand rests on the head of a kneeling young man in white clothes. Behind him, a bald monk in orange robes and a rudraksha mala drapes a red cloth over his shoulder. The smiling man wears a gold necklace and beaded bracelets. Strong light from a stand on the left washes the scene, and a large white screen and red carpet appear in the background with several other people in orange and white. The kneeling devotee receives a blessing on the head as part of a padapuja-style ceremony.2012-07-16A photograph of an indoor hall with a red-draped stage and a lit altar at the back. In the foreground, a smiling man in an orange-brown saffron-toned garment with a long rudraksha mala and gold necklace places his hand on the head of a kneeling young man in a striped shirt, who has his palms pressed together in namaskar. Nearby, a man on the left has eyes closed with palms joined, a shaved-headed man in orange garments with a rudraksha mala stands behind, and other devotees in white and light clothing stand at a barrier. The central figure, with long swept-back hair, a crown-like ornament and a bindi, is a probable Swamiji (probable) in a blessing role, consistent with the distinctive saffron clothing, rudraksha mala and gold necklace.2013-10-02December 17 20112011-12-17
