A shaved-headed man in an orange-saffron cloth draped over one shoulder and bare-chested, wearing a long rudraksha mala, sits beside a tall multi-tiered silver aarti lamp with many lit oil lamps, holding a silver tray in his hands. White tilak marks are on his forehead and arms. A maroon curtain and a wall-mounted air conditioner stand in the background. The scene looks like an aarti ritual.2013-03-08May 30 20132013-05-30 +1 copiesA shaved-headed priest seen from behind performs aarti with a tiered brass lamp holding many lit oil lamps. He wears an orange cloth over bare shoulders, white tilak markings on his arms, and rudraksha malas around his neck and wrists. Before him stands a shrine doorway with a gilded arch, flanked by painted deity figures in red and green. Another person in orange clothing stands in the background. Red carpet covers the floor, and bokeh lights frame the doorway.2014-04-25October 30 20112011-10-30A photograph of a shaved-headed man in saffron-orange robes holding a tall, multi-tiered brass aarti lamp with many lit oil lamps on each tier, the flames rising high. He has white horizontal stripes on his forehead and arms, a red tilak mark and a rudraksha-style bead necklace. A video camera on a tripod stands at the right edge, and a seated person is partly visible in the lower left. The setting appears to be an indoor hall with white walls and dark curtains.2012-10-24A shaved-headed man in an orange-saffron robe and a gold bead necklace holds a tall silver multi-tiered aarti lamp with many lit oil lamps, raising it with a focused, upward gaze. Behind him hangs a red and cream draped cloth backdrop beside a window grille. A camera operator and another person stand partly visible at the right edge. The man appears to be a priest or sannyasi performing aarti; his identity cannot be confirmed from appearance alone, and the page cues are insufficient to name him. The scene is an indoor ritual setting with warm lamp light.2012-09-23November 20 20142014-11-20A shaved-headed priest seen from behind, wearing an orange-brown cloth and a rudraksha mala, holds a tiered brass aarti lamp with many lit oil lamps before a shrine. White sacred ash marks his upper arm. Beyond him stand painted guardian figures in orange and green, and a framed portrait on the shrine shows a figure in orange clothing and a turban. Golden ornamental decor and strings of small lights surround the doorway. The scene suggests an aarti ritual.2013-10-29May 08 20122012-05-08October 19 20122012-10-19April 12 20142014-04-12March 06 20132013-03-06
